B2B wholesale portal
B2B wholesale portal on WooCommerce with two-way CRM integration, legal entities with their own contracts and prices, delivery and vendor analytics.
A B2B wholesale portal for distribution of leading cosmetic brands to retailers. I built the integration between the Client’s CRM (BAS) and the WooCommerce platform, and the B2B features on top of it.
Task
The portal had to work with the Client’s CRM as the source of catalog, stock, clients and contracts. Its model is multi-vendor: one user can have several legal entities, each working under its own type of contract, with its own terms and price ranges. Orders, invoices, delivery and promotions all had to follow these rules.
What I built
- CRM integration module:
- catalogs, brands, attributes and the full product list synced from the CRM;
- product descriptions updated back from the platform to the CRM;
- stock sync;
- orders created in the CRM;
- invoices issued to users.
- Client base integration: users with several legal entities, each with its own contract type, terms and price range.
- Personal prices by the type of client the purchase is made under.
- Personal account.
- Custom checkout with different delivery types, Nova Poshta and other delivery services, automatic creation of shipping declarations.
- Notifications on 4WP Notifications. The portal has no online payment step.
- Promotions of different types: a discount on a product when the promotion terms are met, or a distributed discount for completing a promotion.
- Analytics dashboard for each vendor on the WooCommerce Analytics API: compare reporting periods and filter history by legal entity.
- Bonus system.
How it went
The hardest part was how unique every case is in the B2B segment. Each Client, legal entity and contract came with its own terms, prices and exceptions, and the integration and checkout had to handle all of them inside one portal.
