Senior WordPress architect for agencies and product teams
methods → approaches → rules → foundation
Architecture starts before code: with the language of the business and clear boundaries. I build WordPress as a system, not a collection of themes and plugins — modular, predictable under growth, easy for the next developer to understand. And I have led the teams that build it: from a Head of Web Development role with 20+ people to my own studio and 4wp.dev.

DDD, SOLID, Clean Architecture
Most WordPress projects fail not because of PHP but because of language. I start with a shared domain language and bounded contexts, then code: controllers, services, repositories and integrations instead of “utility” monoliths.

OOP & Design Patterns
Encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance and polymorphism are one foundation, not four rules. Interfaces instead of if chains: each payment gateway, storage adapter or provider lives in its own class, and the system grows by extension.

Modular system design
Separate products instead of a bloated monolith: every 4WP plugin works on its own or together via 4wp-bundle. do_action() and apply_filters() are the extension points; coordination between plugins is designed, not patched.

Team Lead / Head of Development, mentoring
Led a web development department for advertising agencies: several offices, 20+ people, dozens of projects a month. Ran my own studio of 4–7 people as a servant leader. Today I mentor through practical learning materials and real case studies on 4wp.dev.
- Experience — WebKomanda: Head of Web Development (2012–2016)
- Experience — WebTeam.studio: Founder, CEO (2016–2017)
- Project — ivek.ee and myapartments.ee: Team Lead, Lead Developer
- Learning — 4wp.dev
Scrum: from requirements to release
I talk to the Client first: understand the request, propose a solution, agree scope and price. Then Scrum with full freedom inside the team — and I step into development when needed.
- Experience — WebTeam.studio: Scrum, servant leadership
- Experience — WebKomanda: business process from hiring to delivery
